I have a runny nose with yellow mucus is this a infection or a virus sore nose and throat too treatments?

Probably a virus. Almost all nasal infections that lead to yellow mucus begin as viral infections. If you've only been sick for a day or two it is most certainly a virus at this point and should improve over the next week. If after 7 to 10 days you're no better or worse then the possibility of bacterial superinfection becomes greater. At that point antibiotics may be needed. For now hydration, tylenol (acetaminophen) and rest.

I have COPD lately I have ben coughong up yellow, green, dk green mucus I have a runny nose had sore throat but its gone but very hoarse. What can I do?

Antibiotic/nasonex. You do not say what you are on or have taken. You need to take antibiotic such as z-pak / levaquin (levofloxacin). Also, should be on anti-inflammatory and bronchodilator i.e. Albuterol or combavent plus spiriva or the newer pressair. May need a course of steroids. As for the horseness, this has many causes but try cough drops first. If you have been on treatment, you could have thrush. Tip-see doc. Read more...

I have a cold, what should I do! My throat is clot up with mucus, runny nose and my throat is very sore! Any treatments you recommend?

Fluids and Rest. Modern science has not yet found a cure for the common cold. Symptom relief is possible with decongestants/antihistamines, chloraspetic for sore throats, and tylenol (acetaminophen) for fevers and pain. If the symptoms persist for more than a few days then you should see your doctor and make sure you dont have strep throat or some other treatable illness. However strep does not usually cause a runny nose. Read more...
