Can you have peritoneal dialysis if you also have a urostomy bag?

In brief: Yes

It can certainly be done if you have the right person to place the catheter.
I will be happy to help you with that.

This confusing scenario requires analysis of underlying conditions. Urostomy is used when the urine can't flow to the bladder (eg, impacted stone or congenital anomaly). Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is used as renal replacement therapy. If there is urine in the urostomy bag & the kidneys are working (ie, it isn't high-output renal failure) then neither peritoneal dialysis nor the catheter is needed.

In brief: Possible

Peritoneal dialysis usually requires the patient to not have had surgery in their abdominal area.
With a urostomy bag, the usual placement of a pd catheter might prove difficult. However you might be able to have the pd catheter placed near you chest area. You should consult your vascular surgeon to see if he/she can place the catheter there.
