In brief: Congenital cataracts

Congenital cataracts are when you are born with cataracts.
A cataract is a clouding or opacification of the natural lens within the eye. It may or may not be visually significant. If it is visually significant it needs to be dealt with very early in life to allow for the vision to develop properly. See and eye md or even better a pediatric ophthalmologist.
