In brief: YOU DON'T

A true 'heat stroke' is a medical emergency and can be extemely dangerous if not evaluated and treated by medical providers.
'heat exhaustion' is more common and not quite as dangerous, but this is not a diagnosis to make on your own - if you underestimate how bad the situation is, and your body temperature shoots up due to the 'heat stroke', you will basically cook your brain. Literally.

In brief: Don't try

Heat stroke is a life threatening emergency.
It should never be treated at home due to the complexity of the problems which can come from heat stroke. Heat exhaustion may be treated carefully at home but better if treated under the care of a dr. Hydration, rest, cooling, no exposure to heat for days, good nutrition will all help. See your family md immediately if you think heat stroke.
