What other drugs besides Clomid (clomiphene) are used to get a woman pregnant? My wife is on 100 mg of Clomid (clomiphene) and she ovulates normally. If Clomid (clomiphene) doesn't work, will she be given a different fertility drug?
FSH Injections, IVF . If Clomid (clomiphene) alone does not work, adding IUI (intrauterine insemination) can improve Clomid (clomiphene) pregnancy rates. The next step after that would be to take fsh or injectable fertility drugs. Using these drugs in an ivf cycle is safest, but injections can also be combined with iui. Please speak with your doctor about the pros and cons of these options in your situation. Good luck!
What's the diagnosis. Most pregnancies with Clomid (clomiphene) happen in the first 3-4 months. Inseminations help (iui). Other fertility drugs include Letrozole tablets or injectables like follistim. If your wife is not getting pregnant easily with Clomid (clomiphene) we need to find out why before changing treatment - could be one or more of: low egg supply, pcos / hormonal problems, problems with her fallopian tubes or uterus or your sperm.
