In brief: Birth control

Birth control pills or antibiotics can both work on hormonal acne.
Either are to be used in combination with topical medications which decrease bacteria and unclog pores where acne forms.Antibiotics are not used at the same time as oral contraceptives because they may decrease the effectiveness of the ocs.

In brief: A few

One thing that works well is actually a medicine used more for blood pressure and fluid retention called spironolactone.
Though not fda approved for this use there is good data supporting it for this purpose. Talk with your doctor to learn more and to see if it might be right for you. Medical grade topical options and laser acne treatments together are very effective as well.
