How should I moisturize my face when I have acne?

Acne &moisturizer. My favorite thing for moisturizing anyone who has acne prone skin is vit c serum. Vit c is a great antioxidant, it is antiinflmatory so or is soothing and if you find the right one it is non comeogenic-meaning it won't clog up the pores. Image skin care makes a great vit serum that my patients love. It really helps!
Moisture dew. Avoid products containing lanolin or petrolatum. A beeswax base will not clog pores and aggravate acne.

Which is the best face-wash and moisturizer for someone with acne?

Pick ingredients. Most over the counter acne products have the same few active ingredients, anything with salicylic acid is likley going to help, 2% is probably best for most. 10% glycolic acid washes can be helpful. Benzoyl peroxide washes can be great for acne, but hard on your skin, ie drying, redness etc. If you are having problems controlling acne, call your family doc! pick any non-comedogenic moisturizer. Please describe a good routine face wash/moisturizer for keeping away acne?

Acne. Acne is not really due to poor hygiene or in adequate washing. Consult your dermatologist about a home skin care routine. You can decrease Acne formation, but will not prevent it by optimal hygiene. Read more...

Difficult choice. You'll need to get with a physician who's good at treating acne. Topicals are rough on everybody with acne. You'll probably get a systemic antibiotic such as tetracycline and a salicylic acid wash or retinoic acid prep or some other combination that you can tolerate. If you're this sensitive, the isotretinoin regimen may be far more than you can handle -- but if you can, it will be a huge help. Read more...
