In brief: Acne is not caused

By hormonal imbalance, but is a hormonally-related concern.
There are no herbs that can treat acne. See a dermatologist for accurate diagnosis, care, and recommendations. The genetics of skin structure and type, in conjunction with hormone changes (usually at puberty, but also with pregnancy) are the "causes" of acne.

In brief: Gugulipid

Gugulipid is one herb with documented literature in the indian journal of dermatology to help acne.
It does not work on the hormones. It's effect is on the oil glands.

This may be a good treatment for you if you only want herbal treatment. Also avoid SLS in your soaps and use witch hazel to keep the oil away. I also suggest trying saw palmetto to block the male hormones. Hop this helps.
