In brief: Not recomended

Aspirin when given during certain childhood illnesses can cause rye syndrome.
If baby has fever best to go with tylenol (acetaminophen).

In brief: Never

Aspirin was linked to liver failure & death after kids took it during flu or chickenpox starting in the late 60's & 70's.
It has almost disappeared after we stopped giving kids under 16 any aspirin related products. It is rarely used and only under close monitoring in a few childhood diseases.I would never give it to my child or advise others to.
