The prognosis for t-cell non-hodgkin's lymphoma (nhl) vs.
B-cell nhl depends on multiple factors, but in general t-cell nhl has a worse prognosis. One reason is that b-cell, cd20+ nhl can be treated with the anti-cd20 monoclonal antibody Rituximab in addition to chemotherapy. We currently don't have such an effective, low toxicity antibody (biologic treatment) for t-cell nhl.
