Inflammation. Mono neuritis is an inflammation of the peripheral nerve. It can result from trauma, surgery or mechanical abnormality. The more common types are foot neuritis (morton's neuroma) and lower back neuritis (lumbar disc syndrome). See a neurologist or appropriate specialist in the area of the problem to help get treatment.
