Risk is almost zero. Risk of needing a transfusion or a hysterectomy is not zero, but depends on your specific history. If you do not have a previa, there is a 1-in-a-1000 chance of having an accreta, an abnormal attachment of the placenta to the uterus, which can lead to extra bleeding or removal of uterus. That risk is one in 30, 000 with a first c/s.
