unfortunately yes. it is usually very responsive to therapy however it will recur

Yes, depends upon stage at diagnosis and location.
Unfortunately small cell cancer has a high risk of recurrence but if limited and treated by a multidisciplinary team then a sustained remission can be possibly achieved. A detail conversation is needed with an oncologist to assess individual risk of the individual patient.
