In brief: C-section

If you are not having twins and live in the United States then you should expect a c-section for the delivery of a known breech baby.

In brief: C section

A few years ago a study was done which definitively showed that a c section was a safer way to deliver a baby in the breech presentation.
If your baby is breech at the time of delivery you should expect to have a c section. If you know the baby is breech ahead of time you can ask your doctor about an external version to try to turn the baby to head down.
