Kaposi saromas used to be much more lethal two to three decades ago when the aids epidemidic was in full swing.
Now with improving treatments and retroviral therapies, the outcomes have improved dramatically so that if you have a "good risk" kaposi's there is a 90% overall survival. The survival is about 50% for those patients with "poor risk" features of ks.
