Excessive food, especially fats causes obesity and thus fatty liver disease. It is reversible if no cirrhosis yet. So, if u have been told so, wt loss, minimize alcohol, avoid drugs will reverse the fatty liver. Live healthy, live well, live long. Consult doc. Good luck.

Yes, fat within the liver is fat. But the fat is not a result of eating fats (long promoted; very misleading & unhealthy myth). Study my answer below. As water based creatures, these basic physiology principles alway apply; always work. High triglycerides from liver conversion of sugars into triglyceride fats for storage (transported by the lipoproteins) will plummet & fatty liver will reverse.
