What home remedies treat a toothache? Cloves?

Remedy. A remedy is something that cures or relieves a disease or bodily disorder; a healing medicine, application, or treatment. Other than OTC pain meds, there are no DIY treatments to replace proper dental care. Please call a dentist for an appointment. In addition, the pain meds do not solve your problem, they just prolong your agony.
Oil of cloves. Oil of cloves uses the same medication dentists use in medicated temporary materials with eugenol. This is only a temporary fix and a dental exam is necessary. Also using a topical anesthetic such as oragel can help short term.
Oil of clove. Oil of clove has an obtundant, or soothing, effect and has been used for years. This is a short term fix. So there is an underlying cause that will only get worse. Some people mistakenly place powdered Aspirin or Aspirin tablets on the tooth, which is highly acidic and can cause an acid burn. Your dentist can solve the problem, so have a visit.
None. Need to see your dentist for evaluation and treatment.
Cloves and See DDS. Until you can see the dentist, NSAIDs, Tylenol (acetaminophen) or home remedies can provide toothache relief.
