Why are my testicles sore after my hernia surgery?

Swelling, etc. Inguinal hernias are holes in the abdominal wall at the same place where the blood vessels and nerves to the testicle travel. Trauma to these structures in the course of hernia repair can lead to temporary swelling and tenderness following surgery.
Common . It is common to experience pain in the testicle on the side the operation was performed. Usually pain is due to manipulation and dissection of the spermatic cord. This pain should gradually improve. There are a number of complications that can occur and you should see your surgeon for a follow up examination. Knowing more about what type of operation and how long ago would be helpful.

Laparoscopic double inguinal hernia surgery 4 1/2 months ago still real sore right testicle. Recently start feel discomfort groin& pubic area can do?

Chronic pain. I recommend the use of nsaids and heat to the afflicted area . (nsaids are aspirin, naproxen, and acetaminophen.) then, contact your surgeon. There is an entity called "chronic pain syndrome." as it sounds, it's chronic discomfort after hernia repair. Not common, but it's there. If pain persists after one year, despite management, the graft and tacks are removed, and rerepaired. Good luck. Read more...

Inflammation always occurs. IN the short run, this can happen and it gets better with a heating pad in days to a week OR scar tissue can happen and make it permanent. Needs checking. Read more...
