Letrozole is more stronger then clomid (clomiphene)? My dr told me after thet we will try injection or invitro. What is that? Is expensive? Letrozole

No. Letrazole is an alternative to clomid (clomiphene). Some people who fail Clomid (clomiphene) may do better with letrazole but it is not stronger. The injectable drugs are fertility drugs that contain a hormone called fish. They are more effective, but have a higher risk of multiples and are expensive. Read more...

Dr chevies I hav done OPK test came+ive on12th day of perd made lov12 13 15, if I don't conceiv ds month letrozole hlps? How t0 loose muscus aftr clomid (clomiphene)?

IUI also helps. Letrozole may not thicken or reduce the quantity of cervical mucus as much as Clomid (clomiphene) can. With either medication, intrauterine inseminations (iui) bypass the cervical mucus and improve your chances of conceiving by getting more healthy sperm up to your tubes, especially if your partner has mild to moderate sperm issues. You should get a hsg and a semen analysis to check for tube or sperm problems. Read more...

Then, you need to see your gyn to make sure that your fallopian tubes are open, that your partner's sperm are normal and other things that you should discuss. Also, make sure you are already taking prenatal vitamins. Read more...

We tried Clomid (clomiphene) 50mgs for our first cycle w/o results. Our doctor says to raise Clomid (clomiphene) to 100mg or try letrozole at a low dosage. What should we do?

Ask your doctor. I have my patients use 3 different doses of Clomiphene (up to 150 mg) before switching to letrozole, but some doctors prefer to start with letrozole. If you did not ovulate with 50 mg clomiphene, and you have been adequately evaulated for other causes of infertility/anovulation, then 100 mg should be safe. Read more...
