Why does infertility seem to be a bigger problem now a days?

Media coverage. The prevalence of infertility may have changed only slightly over the years. The std issues related to fertility may have increased during the changes in the sexual norms. But a majority of the infertility that we hear about is because it is a more acceptable issue in today's society to discuss. Also the technology for success has improved greatly therefore people are more willing to pursue treatment.
A few reasons. Some reasons there are more couples with fertility problems relate to demographics. Waiting later in age can reduce fertility. Having fewer children can actually reduce a couple's future chances. Fewer women use hormonal contraception, which actually has a protective effect on future fertility. Impatience is also a factor.
