How does a permanent breast prosthesis feel?

In brief: Depends
Regular saline or silicone gel implants feel alright.
Some women say they feel somewhat heavy, but this may be due to going from no breast to a reconstructed breast literally within hours. More cohesive silicone gel implants feel more firm than regular breast tissue.

In brief: Depends on prosthesi
Following a mastectomy, the skin overlying the chest wall is relatively numb.
The breast prosthesis contains either salt-water or silicone (gelatinous). While the "feel" is not very life-like, the appearance can be very well matched to your pre-mastectomy appearance, especially when clothed or even wearing a bathing suit. Another approach is to do a "flap" reconstruction, which is more lifelike.
