In brief: Acidic/fatty foods

In researching this question i found many lists of food to avoid that were completely undocumented & questionable- for example, most lists said to avoid cabbage, which is the food most proven to help heal ulcers! we don't have much science to answer this, but most find it beneficial to avoid acidic foods like citrus & coffee, alcohol & fatty foods.
If spicy foods irritate then avoid. See comment:.
