Melanoma screen. All individuals with a family history of melanoma should be screened at least once per year for signs of early melanoma. Melanoma is 99 percent curable if found early, whereas if found late carries a very high mortality rate.

Best thing to do is to speak to a genetic counsellor if you have a strong family history of melanoma.
