In brief: Largely Do Not Exist

For the vast majority of people, low cholesterol diets increase measured LDL particle concentrations ; reduce measured large-hdl particle concentrations, both of which drive more rapid arterial disease progression, along with diabetes mellitus, obesity ; high blood pressure.
I have seen these realities for over 2 decades. The us feds, 1970s, promoted these lies. Study video: "mcgovern's report".

Low cholesterol diets are typically diets restricted in total daily cholesterol intake.
<300 mg/day or in more severe cases <200 mg/day. However, many patients have low HDL and high triglycerides, and will benefit from a lower simple carbohydrate diet, rather than a low cholesterol diet. Ultimately, the best is one that a patient can tolerate. Find an rd who is a lipid specialist. www.lipid.org.
