None, initially. High cholesterol has no symptoms. However, high cholesterol over a long period of time can lead to heart disease, stroke and other problems. You certainly don't want to wait for these things to be your first clue of having a cholesterol problem. Have your cholesterol checked regularly by your physician and follow his or her advise on how to treat this condition.
Usually none, but... Usually high cholesterol has no symptoms. For those with a very high ldl-c (bad cholesterol) they will get thickening and "bumps" on some tendons. Others may get what look like very flat pimples on the upper eye lids. Those with very high triglycerides (bad little fats) may get what seem like painful pimples on their arms/legs and severe abdominal (gut) pain. Most people feel nothing though.
