In brief: 4:7:8 breathing

Dr. Andrew weill recommends this breathing technique: put the tip of your tongue behind your upper teeth, breathe in through your mouth for a count of 4, hold your breath for a count of 7, then exhale through slightly pursed lips for a count of 8.
Practice twice a day, but don't do more than 4 breath cycles at a time. It can be useful when you start to feel anxious or any time for relaxation.

In brief: How about a book?

Try to buy and read: "stop obsessing" by edna foa.
The book describes strategies and techniques to free yourself of the phobia you have to cats and bugs. You can find the book on amazon. Good luck.
