In brief: Elderly and children

Hyponatremia or low salt level in the blood can cause confusion among other problems.
Everyone whose blood sodium drops low enough ( especially if a drastic shift) will be symptomatic but the elderly and young children are most vulnerable both to having the condition and being symptomatic.
