In brief: Behavioral mgt
Picks disease is a form of frontotemporal dementia that presents usually in the 40s or 50s.
It often has many behavioral problems like disinhibition and hypersexuality, amongst other behavioral problems. Medication for these symptoms is the usual treatment. There is no cure for this dementia. There are no drugs presently approved for this type of dementia.

In brief: Supportive
This type of fronto-temporal dementia lacks effective therapy, and care is symptom-based, starting at the lowest possible doses of medicines like paroxetine or trazodone for behavioral issues.
Nonpharmacological techniques such as environmental modofication, and occupational therapy may be helpful.

Paroxetine is not recommended due to the strong anti-ACh effects as well as severe inhibition of 2d6. UCSF is leader in developing clinical trials.
