In brief: BDD

Bdd is defined in the dsm-iv-tr as a somatoform disorder whereby the affected person is very concerned with body image; there is great concern about a physical defect.
However, others find little or nothing wrong. Affected person is greatly distressed, goes to great lengths to try to fix problem or socially isolates. Some see selves as 'monsters' leading to depression, anxiety, self-contempt.
