How often should you get your eyes checked?

Ophthalmology

In brief: Depends

Obviously if there is a problem, the eyes need checking right away by an ophthalmologist.
General points for anyone would be age 5, 13, 18 if no problems are present. Adults should be checked at 3-5 year intervals if no problems; more often with refractive or disease needs. After age 40, probably at 2 year intervals unless there are problems.

And annually after age 65 or so- for asymptomatic diseases that can sneak in.
