I was diagnosed with mild fatty liver with border line heptomegly per ultrasound. I am 38 f could this be beginning of cirrhosis?

Liver is enlarged. A liver biopsy can tell if you have increased risk of getting cirrhosis. Enlargement is not cirrhosis; cirrhotic livers are shrunken and scarred. The question to answer is do you have nash (inflammation of the liver caused by fat, and by definition, occurs in nondrinkers) or just fatty liver (steatosis) which would be lower risk. Maintain a healthy weight.
Maybe. If you are concerned about your drinking, you might consider attending a meeting of alcoholics anonymous. Fatty liver may also be caused by other problems, including compulsive overeating.
