There are 3 category - vada (digestion off), pitta (bile issues), kabba (low metabolism) and there are 5 layers for the body - so ayurveda address where the problem is according to body types (called dosa).
Another Fad... All these diets trend (atkins, southbeach, master cleanse, etc, etc). Like all diets you will lose weight while dieting and when the diet ends the yo-yo begins and you will gain more weight than you lost.
