Has anyone taken the beta blocker labetalol in pregnancy?

Most hypertensives. Most pregnant women with chronic hypertension are on Labetalol (a combined Alpha and beta blocker) that is fairly effective and safe for that purpose. Chronic use of beta blockers can decrease fetal growth, though, so only take this medication under the care of a maternal-fetal medicine specialist. Alternative regimens: alpha-methyldopa (very safe, modestly effective), Nifedipine (safe, effective).
