In brief: Snack all the time

An idea that has worked for people is to plan in advance what foods and what quantities you'll be eating for the day.
Then, decide to stick with this plan. If possible, place all these foods in one container and snack on it all you want. But, when it's gone you're finished for the day (as you planned it). Some people divide the day's food into 5-6 parts, eating one portion every few hours.

In brief: Snack on protein

Hi ahedeston - snacking on protein such as nuts, lowfat cheese, even a chicken breast will keep your blood sugar stable, give you energy and allow you to think clearly.
High carbohydrate snacks cause a blood sugar spike followed by an energy crash, leading one to eat more. Stay away from sugar drinks, add water since mild dehydration may feel like yawning & fatigue. Good luck!

In brief: See below

Snacking is a problem for many.
Snacking, is done for lots of reasons, mostly related to emotional behavior. Dill pickles for some reason has been shown to curb snacking. I don't think anybody really knows why, but it does work. Also making yourself accountable to someone or putting cards in your refrigerator or cabinets that asked the question "why am i here" . Please see your physician for help.
