In brief: Neuropathy treatment

Most medical treatments for neuropathy address the pain that may be associated.
They rarely treat the cause. These treatments may be Lyrica, (pregabalin) Gabapentin, or Amitripyline for example. These do not work for everyone, but most people find they can help if pain is a problem.

In brief: Several

There are several categories of medications that can help with neuropathy related pain.
Tricyclic antidepressants, snri's, and anti-epileptics. Depending on your specific diagnosis, there may be other options, some non-pharmocologic.

In brief: Several options

Neuropathy can be caused by a number of things.
Alcoholics and diabetics both show high rates of neuropathy. Heavy metal poisoning also can cause neuropathy. Cymbalta, lyrica, (pregabalin) Neurontin and Gralise are all excellent options to treat neuropathic pain.
