Excellent answer! To elaborate on one point...Since it cannot block the ovarian production of estrogen, it is ineffective in women who have not gone thru menopause (we use Tamoxifen in that situation). Even though women do to lose their hair or get sick from this pill, it is a very potent and effective chemotherapeutic drug.
