Depends. The answer depends on the tye, severity and symptoms of the scoliosis. Usually scoliosis progresses while a teenager and stops as an adult, so it needs no treatment. If the scoliosis starts as an adult or becomes painful as an adult, treatment will be based on the magnitude of the curve and the amount of pain you are having.
Yes. Most times it needs no treatment unless it is over 50 degrees or it involves the lower back which results in a higher risk of back pain. One needs to guard against low bone density and exercise in general. Sonetimes a scoliosis can be a result of a disc herniation, tumor or infection which may need to be treated.
