Metastatic lung to brain acounts for about half of the 100k brain mets/year. Most are adeno, followed by small cell, then squamous. BAC and mesothelioma do not commonly go to brain.

In brief: Yes

All lung cancers tend to spread to the brain, but small cell lung cancer spreads to the brain more commonly than non-small cell.
More advanced cancer also has a much greater chance of spreading to the brain than early, limited cancer.
