Sore throat and ear pain, can I fly?

Might be very painfu. Not so much the sore throat, but the ear pain can be severly exacerbated by flying making it extremely uncomfortable.

You have time. If this is really strep you have 9-10 days from the beginning of symptoms to start the antibiotics that will prevent rheumatic fever. Singer off tune. Often times singers have issues which cause their voices to sound hoarse.Most often they are unable to hit their high notes and their range is off. The two most common problems are reflux and allergy. For reflux avoid spicy foods and follow a low acid diet. Avoid tomatoes and caffeine as well as chocolate. Cough. Have you been coughing tons? I will defer your ongoing upper respiratory query to the ent's but have heard of MRSA or other mean bugs not responding to traditional treatment. The black spot can be a hematoma( blood blister) from coughing violently or may be a clue to the etiology. I think second and third opinions would be useful to you now.
