In brief: Highly variable

Most people control their infection with hep c and never develop symptomatic disease.
Others are effectively treated before there is major damage to the liver. Some may go on to develop cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma, and complications thereof. Some with cirrhosis have liver transplantation. Some have alcohol consumption worsen their condition. No way to predict outcomes.
