In brief: Need right remedy

Calcarea sulphurica works very well for your acne, if it's the indicated remedy for you.
There are over 250 remedies known to help with acne! a well-trained homeopath will consider your whole being -- not just your acne. Acne is only 1 sign of the disturbance in your healing system. The right remedy addresses this disturbance which is the source of the problem you're experiencing (acne & more).

In brief: Anecdotal

The magic of homeopathic remedies -- if they actually are what they are packed as -- comes from the interaction with the homeopathic physician and the caring, unhurried and detailed approach.
This is the 21st century, and you'll get more reliable results with a scientific remedy. I start with Clindamycin with or without a retinoic acid derivative. Good luck.

There is no magic in homeopathy -- just a compassionately rigorous process of discerning what the individual patient is suffering, and pairing that with what we know of homeopathic medicines (some 4000+ so far). Then there's the ongoing follow-up and management of the case to make sure things are moving ahead positively (like the rest of medicine). Here's a small (n=60) study of homeopathy used for chronic skin diseases: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17544862
