Body lice are transmitted in a similar way but are very uncommon except in the homeless population. Does tea tree oil get rid of scabies or body lice? What about bo?

No evidence. Tea tree oil has been used to treat acne, toe nail fungus, fungal infections on the feet, and dandruff with some effectiveness, but does seem to have some hormonal effects (therefore should not be used by pregnant women). However, i know of no evidence of tea tree oil treating scabies, body lice, or bo. I am open to anyone who has additional information. Read more...

Permethrin. Permethrin is the most effective treatment for scabies. Applied from the neck down, and left on for up to 12 hours, then removed.
