I'm taking Nasonex (mometasone) for post nasal drip/cough and it helped a lot. Is there a cheaper alternative like nasacort or Flonase that I can take with zyrtec?

Nasal steroid. Greetings. Unfortunately the cheapest nasal steroid spray that I have seen is Nasacort (triamcinolone) at 36 US dollars for a 3 month supply. That's about the same as a co pay with insurance coverage for a generic. Nasacort (triamcinolone) and Flonase OTC are name brand only as of now. I would suggest continuing with generic zyrtec for allergy control. Allergy Testing and Immunotherapy may be another option with avoidance. Read more...

Nasal sprays. All nasal steroids take a few days to start working and need to build up a dose before they become fully effective. Nasal antihistamines are quicker in onset of actiion. What is the difference between nasonex (mometasone) and flonase?
