What does it mean if the lab test confirmed yeast infection but it really doesn't seem like a yeast infection?

Depends. It could be an early infection, a false positive result (meaning the test is positive, but you do not have the infection), or an atypical presentation of yeast infection. It is hard to say without actually evaluating you in person. If in doubt, you can always wait and repeat the test, or get treated. Discuss this with your physician.
