Are hot flashes and late period mean I am starting to go through menopause?

In brief: A bit too young

29 is a bit too young for the normal change of life, but early ovarian failure can certainly cause the early-menopause.
Also, thyroid disease (hyperthryoidism) can cause such symptoms as well. Some medications can cause such symptoms as well. Certain pelvic infections can do this too. So, if persistent or worsen, call your doc for an evaluation. Good luck.
