What's is the difference between oxycontin and morphine?

Small difference. These medications are related and only small differences exist between them.
Same/Different. They are both narcotic pain medications or opioids, however Oxycontin is a long acting preparation of oxycodone and morphine is well...Morphine. This can be confusing as the long acting preparation of morphine is mscontin. So to sum it up... Oxycontin = long acting oxycodone, mscontin = long acting morphine. Both are opioids.
