In brief: Treatments available

Rogaine (minoxidil topical) is very effective at preventing further hair loss and can help some improve hair density.
For men, Propecia (finasteride) is a good adjunctive treatment which will synergize with the rogaine. Hair transplant is a viable option for treatment of hair loss if it is more severe. Seek a specialist in the field of hair transplantation.

Agree. Seek full-time specialist (ABHRS and IAHRS) who manages hair loss and performs FUE, the minimally-invasive style of transplants, if needed. Also, we often prescribe a stronger minox than rogaine, like Formula 82M. Other therapies may include LaserCap laser therapy and PRP Platelet Rich Plasma.
