In brief: No

A stroke may take 24-72 hours to be detected on a head ct.
Mri is more sensitive in detecting strokes earlier, so if the clinical symptoms are quite strong and the ct head is negative, an MRI may be ordered afterwards.

In brief: Strokes

Strokes can often been seen on ct but if there is a question and MRI is a more sensitive study.
