Is it safe to take Pepcid an Zantac (ranitidine) together while pregnant?

Zantac&pepcid/pregna. Zantac (ranitidine) and Pepcid are identical meds, even though both are considered safe during pregnancy why take both which has the same mode of action, these are both h2receptor blockers so take either on of these in full doses if needed.
Yes but... Both medications are safe to take during pregnancy and there are no drug interactions. However, they are essentially the same so there's no reason to take both.

I took Pepcid 3 hours ago and my heart burn is still on going. I am desperate for relief. I have Zantac (ranitidine) 150. Will it help if I take the Zantac (ranitidine)?

Similar drugs. Pepcid and Zantac (ranitidine) are similar drugs because they are both histamine blockers. It's doubtful that Zantac (ranitidine) will give you significant relief if Pepcid didnt. Try Omeprazole instead which works differently (Prilosec). See your doctor ASAP as you likely need further evaluation. . Read more...
You can try. Taking zantac (ranitidine) this one time after the recent pepcid, but should get an official eval by GI to see why you are getting such bad heart burn. You need to alter your diet, avoid trigger foods, increase fiber and water in your diet. But as stated, you need an eval as there are stronger medications that may be needed, not to mention the exam you should have (with possible testing) as previously stated. Read more...

Is it safe to take Ranitidine and famotidine together? And is it unsafe to take more than two tablets of the Pepcid Complete in a 24 hour time period?

No-discuss w ur doc. These two medicines are of the same class and should not be taken together. More is not necessarily better and increases risk of side effects. If breakthrough symptoms, should consider switch to different class such as proton pump inhibitors but be sure to discuss w your doctor to be sure underlying cause and potential complications have been sought.
