What should I do if my baby is really particular about the food he eats?

In brief: Picky Eaters

Babies taste buds are different than ours.
They tend to be more sensitive to taste and texture. As you start introducing solids to your baby, it will take him a while to figure out what to actualy do with this new food in his mouth, be patient. If you have a baby that likes few things, build around what he likes, always offer a variety of colors and textures via veggies & fruits. Make meals fun!

In brief: Learn a baby's likes

Learn what a baby likes and dislikes.
Babies have texture, flavor, and temperature preferences; which vary from baby to baby, and will change over time in each baby. Babies 6-12 months still get most of their nutrition from breast milk or formula, so it is not that important at this age for solid food choices to form a balanced diet. A balanced diet of solid foods is much more important later.

In brief: Keep trying

Keep introducing new foods with different textures and flavors.
Often they will have to try something up to 10-15 times before liking it. Babies and kids are more likely to eat when they see others eating as well. Be a model for your children and talk about how yummy and healthy the food is. Above all, don't give up, keep introducing those healthy foods and try not to resort to processed foods.
